The Queensland school curriculum is in a process of change as it adapts to new federal government requirements. Staff at Prenzlau State School are working hard to implement several new curriculum initiatives, including:

• Eight new syllabus documents – English, Mathematics, Health and Physical Education, Science, Studies of Society and Environment, Languages other than English, Technology and The Arts;
  
• Essential Learnings and Standards;
  
• Queensland Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Framework; and
  
• the Early Years Curriculum Guidelines.
