At Prenzlau State School we implement the Australian Curriculum and believe that each student can learn and the needs of every student are important.
Achievement standards have been set to ensure they are challenging and contribute to all students receiving a quality education.
Our curriculum enables high expectations to be set for each student as our teachers account for current levels of learning and the different rates at which students learn.
The Australian Curriculum for English, Mathematics, Science and History, and for subsequent learning areas, is organised with explicit descriptions of what is to be taught to students and what is expected in terms of the quality of learning as they progress through schooling from Prep to Year 12.
The curriculum identifies essential content that all students should be taught and allows flexibility for schools and teachers to include local and topical content.
Our curriculum is one that inspires and challenges all learners and prepares them for the future
.
In the 21st century, this means a world-class curriculum that will equip our students with the knowledge, understanding, skills and capabilities to take advantage of opportunity and face future challenges with confidence.
